Our approach

PropertyKiln uses essential cookies to run the site (sign-in, security, your saved preferences) and optional analytics cookies (Plausible) to see which guides actually help. No ad-tracking, no resale, no creepy stuff.

Essential cookies (always on)

These are required for the site to work. They store things like your sign-in session, security tokens and your consent choice. They cannot be turned off.

Analytics (optional, off until you agree)

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, EU-hosted service. It tells us things like how many people read a guide and which pages help most. Plausible doesn't build advertising profiles, doesn't share data with third parties, and doesn't track you across other sites.

We only load the Plausible script after you agree on the cookie banner. If you decline or choose "Essential only", the script never loads.

No advertising cookies

We don't run ads. No Google Ads, no Facebook Pixel, no programmatic ad networks, no remarketing tags. Sponsorship is placed by topic, not by tracking you.

Local storage (not cookies)

We use your browser's localStorage for essential, on-device features only:

• Tool inputs and results — calculators store your numbers locally so you don't lose them. Nothing is sent to our servers.
• Saved guides and reading progress — bookmarks and where you left off.
• Email gate unlock — so you don't re-enter your email for every template.
• Banner state — remembering you've made a cookie / disclaimer choice.
• Document builder details — your business name and contact details for invoice / letter builders.

All of this stays on your device. You can clear it any time via your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data).

Changing your mind

Use the Manage preferences button at the top of this page, or the link in the footer on every page. Changes apply immediately.
